Upon looking at the brief, I can see that I have used two different images. At the minute though, these are not original as I will be taking them later in the summer. These hold images though do resemble the colour and layout of my original ones.

Upon looking at the more intricate details of my website, we see that i have used an original logo and name which uses a contemporary font - adding to the modern DJ aesthetic. I have coupled this with the song name which is in a bolder font in order to highlight its importance. The typography then has been carefully selected in order to give off this modern yet stylish theme - much of what the dance music is about. I  have coupled this with again some neutral font colours (black and white) to contrast the powerful background whilst also looking contemporary. The reason i have picked these chosen images relates to the location and theme of my music video. I will be filming a vast amount of the video in two seperate locations in foreign countries, and so will have lots of it based around the beach and water. This also goes back to the idea of summer (a common theme for dance genre) as well as it being a large open stretch of water implying freedom - another big thing for teens who would be viewing the website.

On the other page i have shown, there is a small section which explains the artist and what they are about in general. I have tried to write it in a way that will appeal to young people, and promote this dance genre and what it's about.

Finally, i have incorporated the music video of the song i am using into the homepage, in order for it too stand out directly to those on the site. Eventually i will change this to being my own music video.

Music video camera shots

Firstly, what i intend to use in terms of camera shots is a variety of different settings, as well as different lighting and angles. My video will consist of some well filmed shots to go with the music, as well as using a variety of people with some possible dance shots. I will use a variety of different shooting locations ranging from the outside and nature, to shots taken at a party or in a car. For the more fast paced parts, i will film at a festival i am visiting - allowing me too see people dancing and jumping around which could work in time with my song. These nature shots i may choose too film in a foreign location when i am on holiday, and so i can include the sea and water shots. With the build up of the beat, it will be possible slow motion cinematic shots, though when the beat 'drops' it will skip to some of the festival shots with people dancing.

As i am going abroad to a sunny location, that will also be a prime place to acquire the cinematic shots. I will be able to film sunsets as well as some shots of the sea - with a female actor in these shots. Furthermore, in this location i can emphasise the shots needed for the A-B demographic because i can get some classy evening shots, in more formal evening wear with drinks and such.

Firstly, i will use media language mainly to convey the codes and conventions of the text through my website as well as on the music video itself. Now, upon looking at the media audiences i will be targeting mine towards the 16-25 age demographic. As well as this it will be focused too an A-B demographic - that of upper or middle class people. Due to this the audience watching will want something more sophisticated. I will apply this same theme for my website, which will also feature a professional and and presentable layout. Next, due to my age demographic being younger, i will use actors of the same age. Finally the setting i want to be summery - in a variety of different open places to reinforce the idea of freedom; a big thing for teenagers. With my website, i want to connect it explicitly to the video by using possibly the same colour scheme or theme on both.

Looking at media industries, my video will be linked to the Universal Music group, who run and manage it. UMG are a well established business, with several other artists in their portfolio. Because they are so established, they will want a professional video to be associated with them - meaning it must be to a high calibre.

The representation is a key factor of my video because it all ties in with the target demographic. I want to highlight the the representation of freedom amongst teens. To show this i will have some shots of people dancing freely in a public or festival environment to incorporate the idea of not caring  what others think.

In my music video i have not currently decided the song i will use to back the video, though have a few that i am considering. Avicii is an iconic dance music DJ, so i have considered using one of his songs (The nights, waiting for love, wake me up)

For the video i have decided that i would prefer to make a more scenic and aesthetic narrative video as opposed to something with a deeper story line. I want to have some close up shots on the build up of the beat, preferably of a girl by the beach in slow motion - with the sea in the background. Also, i can include an establishing shot at the beginning with the sun rising to emphasise the beginning, in a cienmatic way.

In terms of the actors i will use in my video, i would like to use a mix of boys and girls that are around my age group. This is because of the demographic i am focusing it towards is around the same age, so i believe it will appeal to them more. Also, as i am using girls in the video i will aim to represent them differently from what is typical of dance videos. I want to ensure there is no use of the male gaze and that the girls are empowered. The clothes these people will wear, i want to be trendy and also in many cases designer. This goes back to the sophisticated upper class demographic i am using.
