  Throughout the movie, the only thing the main character (young boy, Mowgli) wears is a loincloth.

  • There are scenes of fighting depicted between various animals in the film, where they are seen attacking and biting one another. Although these scenes are intense, they are depicted without any details of injury or bloodletting.
  • Shere Khan viciously attacks, bites and throws a wolf off a cliff.
  • A man tries to defend himself by shoving a flaming torch in Shere Khan's face, but Shere Khan pins him down and kills him (the killing is shown as a shadow).
  • On several occasions Shere Khan tries to kill Mowgli. Many times, Mowgli's friends try to save him but Shere Khan attacks them, hits them and bites them. In one of his attempts to kill Mowgli, his claw tears across Mowgli's chest causing a wound and some bleeding.

  • Mowgli looks at a human village from a distance. Against a background of blazing flames, people seem to be celebrating something. There are drinks in their hands but nothing is clearly visible.

  • The film contains several scenes where characters face threatening situations and/or engage in fighting. For instance, there are scenes where the protagonist is being pursued or cornered by animals such as a tiger or a giant gigantopithecus.
  • Shere Khan is a menacing and frightening character, intent on killing Mowgli. His face is covered with burn scars, which are shown several times in close-up.
  • There is a scene where Mowgli accidentally starts an inferno which engulfs a large part of the forest, threatening the lives of all the animals. This scene can be emotionally upsetting, though later the fire is extinguished by elephants.
  • A wolf is killed by Shere Khan. When Mowgli learns of his death his grief is emotionally upsetting.
  • Kaa, a giant snake, tries to swallow Mowgli by coiling around him and opening her mouth wide. This could be unsettling for people with fears of snakes, but he is saved.
  • There are some jump scares when Shere Khan leaps into the frame. There is another jump scare. This time, it's from King Louie when he tries to find Mowgli.

• 1967 film is currently one of most successful films of all time (taken over 100billion us dollars)
• Followed a traditional pattern of production, distribution and association.
• Enjoyed a second life on video and DVD.
• Disneys animation studio had been responsible for developing many of the techniques and ways of working that became standard practices of traditional cel animations, pioneering the art of storyboarding and developing the use of multiplane to create an early 3-D like effect.
• Dinseys personal control of the whole studio affected all stages of production.

To turn into film, many of original characters and situations were cut out, creating clear storyline.

• Wolf cubs were based on dogs from 100 dalmations.
• Backgrounds were hand painted, with exception of waterfall, mostly consisting of footage of angel falls in Venezuela
• JB was created on transport cels, a technique patented by earl hurd in 1914.
• JB uses Xerography, copying the animators drawings onto a light sensitive aluminism plane and then onto cels, unlike the old, painstaking hand - inking process, tracing the from paper drawings.
• Cel animation was expensive and time consuming.

Copyright legally protects an author's works and as a result, it is vitally important to big companies like Disney. Copyright usually lasts for 70 years. 

Disney’s efforts, and those of other multinational corporations with soon-expiring intellectual property, seem to have paid off. In 1976 -- just 8 years prior to Mickey’s expiration -- Congress completely overhauled U.S. copyright law to conform with European standards. This new law expanded already-published corporate copyrights from 56 years to a maximum of 75 years. All works published prior to 1922 immediately entered the public domain; all works published after 1922  (including Mickey Mouse) were entitled to the full 75 years of protection. Just like that, Mickey Mouse extended his copyright death 19 years -- from 1984 to 2003.

By the mid-1990s, Disney again began to feel the impending doom. In addition to the 2003 expiration of Mickey’s copyright, Pluto was set to expire in 2005, Goofy in 2007, and Donald Duck in 2009. The gang, collectively worth billions, had to be retained, so Disney began lobbying again.

In 1997, Congress introduced the Copyright Term Extension Act, which proposed to extend corporate copyrights again -- this time, from 75 to 95 years. To ensure the bill passed, Disney cozied up to legislators.

The 1967 Jungle book is rated "U (Universal)|" -  Contains no material likely to offend or harm. This could be because it is animated so does not look as realistic.

The 2016 on the other hand, the 2016 is rated PG. -  mild threat. Possibly because it is live action so looks scarier.
